"Nowness"
A guy in this book I'm reading, came up with the idea of "nowness." I'm forever anticipating, and rarely fully appreciating what's going on in the present. I'll look forward to something, and imagine it, and then it's happening and I'm too busy thinking of what's next. Oprah has this journal, and at the end of each day she lists five things she's grateful for.
At work today a lady called and asked for Walter, and I said "may I ask who's calling" and the lady said "it's his dentist's office" and she was seemingly genuinely friendly, and I was, I think, friendly also and so I intercom-ed Walter and told him his dentist was on line 1.
I put my picture in a little box on my blog where it says who I am, and it's disappeared so now there's an empty box and I don't like it. I'm going to try to fix it.
